In the spirit of the World Cup, we would like to show you a sneak peek from Leah (that's Lay-uh, like the Princess, in case you were curious) and Dan's Wedding! Their vintage, romantic wedding was an amazing joining of two families and multiple cultures. Leah, being from the Netherlands, had family fly in from all over Europe which made for an amazing reception! Talking with her family and her guests was definitely a fun experience! Having the beautiful rolling hills as the backdrop at Lansdowne Resort hopefully made them feel a little more at home than the usual Washington, DC scene. Leah and Daniel's personality and playfulness from beginning to end is really what made us love this wedding. (besides Leah's absolutely amazing dress!!) . From the moment Dan first saw Leah to our trip around the resort taking photos (to include a visit from a groundhog friend) to the last dance they just oozed love that was so much fun to capture! Take a look!

The Gronde Photography Wedding and Portrait Bucket List!
We see these all the time on other photographers' blogs and decided it was high time for us to have one of our own. Everyone has, or should have, some kind of "Bucket List". Most people have one for themselves but we, as a business, have one for us! This list is made up of all the things you absolutely have to do before you "kick the bucket". So, this list for us is comprised of all the things we want to shoot or accomplish as photographers before we put down our cameras for the last time (hopefully a VERY long time from now). If you are reading this and you can help us accomplish one of these things (even if we've already crossed it off, we assure you that you will not regret it! Do you have something you think we should add to our list? Be sure to tell us :-)

{Real Wedding} Elyse and Josh – George Washington Masonic Memorial, Alexandria, VA
If you have lived in Northern Virginia very long you have probably seen a tall building that looks like a lighthouse in Alexandria, VA. The building is the George Washington Masonic Memorial which was designed after the lighthouse in Alexandria, Egypt. This was the ceremony and reception site for Elyse and Josh, a 32nd degree mason. Masonry runs deep in his family and there was no better place to have this wedding. The architecture of this building is undeniably awe inspiring. Their wedding was a vision of unity as they tied in their Jewish, Buddhist, and Catholic heritage in their ceremony. There reception was a gallant affair of gold and purple. These are some of our favorite images both inside and outside of this majestic building.

{Real Engagement} Di and Nate – Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival
Di and Nate live in Washington State, so our first meeting with them was via Skype. We were so happy that our style and their vision were so well matched, and so excited that they chose us as their wedding and engagement photographers! They were going to make a trip out here to the DC and Baltimore area (where Di is from) to finalize some different wedding plans and we all thought it would be the perfect chance to do their engagement photos. Luckily, it was right in the peak of the 100th Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival! This is such a beautiful time to be in DC and it shows in every single one of their photos as the perfect backdrop for their romance. We can't wait for their big day at Cal Ripkin Stadium! The only thing we love as much as weddings (besides each other, of course) is baseball and we LOVE when brides put the two together!
Thanks for Reading!
